Natural fermentation-grade L-(+)-lactic acid — a versatile organic acid and the precursor to PLA bioplastics.
Product Overview
Lactic Acid is produced by the fermentation of our own corn-derived dextrose using selected Lactobacillus strains, followed by purification, ion-exchange, and concentration to 80% or 88% aqueous solutions.
Our lactic acid is used across three major value chains: food acidulant and preservative, industrial processing aid (leather, textile, metal), and — most importantly — as the monomer for polylactic acid (PLA) bioplastics produced on the same Shouguang site.
Grades available: food-grade (E270), technical-grade, and polymer-grade with tight specifications on optical purity for downstream PLA synthesis.
Key Features
≥ 97% L(+)-lactic acid — critical for PLA crystallinity control.
Standard 80% and 88% solutions; anhydrous on request.
Food, technical, and polymer grades with distinct specifications.
Non-GMO Lactobacillus strains — fully renewable feedstock.
Backward integrated into our own corn sugar, forward into PLA.
Fully compliant with EU chemical registration requirements.
